Yelagiri hill is one of the best hill stations of Tamil Nadu. Situated amidst four mountains well known for its salubrious climate prevail throughout the year. Tribal people live in villages in these hills.it is mixed of 14 villages. This peple lives are engaged with agriculture, horticulture, forestry,etc.. they life style of people and their houses are very unique and attract tourists. Yelagiri Hills is at an altitude of1410 meters above sea level and situated just 163 Kms from Bangalore and 240 Kms from Chennai. Yelagiri Hills encompasses a total area of just 30 sq kms and an altitude of approximately 3500 feet. Therefore, the climate is rather moderate, and an evening breeze that can get a bit chilly (especially after a few showers), considering that the hills have a fair amount of forest cover.

Punganoor Lake and Boating & Park

It is a artificial Lake sitiated in the center of the Yelagiri Hills having 56.70 Sq.mt. area is called Punganoor Lake. The Yelagiri Hill development and Tourism department maintains, the Park and Boating facility in the lake. Inside the Garden Children Play materials and rides are installed to recreate the kids.

Herbal Farm

Near the Punganoor Lake, a herbal farm, is maintained by the forest Drepartment. Herbals are used in the Sidda and Ayurvadic for medical treatments.the farm have huge amount of medicine plants.
